November, 17 the entire world celebrates the Beaujolais Nouveau Day!

This is the day when the most popular vin de primeur fermented for just a few weeks is released for sale. According to the regulations adopted in France, to which the festival originates, the new harvest wine is officially presented on the third Thursday of November.

The light-weight, purple-pink wine with a fruity nose becomes the most widely-discussed beverage for one day, the fact that can be easily explained once you remember the number of wine producing countries. No wonder that this relatively young holiday is highly popular in Ukraine, the country which is exceptionally rich in winemaking traditions.

Following the tradition, the hotel Reikartz Aurora Kryvyi Rih cordially invites the guests to taste new wines at the Beaujolais Nouveau Party. The hotel gathers the admirers of wines for 5 years running inviting them to enjoy the cordial and invigorating atmosphere of hospitality.

September, 27 on the World Tourism Day the hotel received an award for its high level of service and professionalism.

The Reikartz team got Certificate of Honor from Head of Regional Administration Valentin Hoptyan «for spectacular contribution to the development of regional tourism, diligent work and high professional qualities», as well as the «Discovery of the Year» award.

Reikartz Dworzec Lviv hosted the volunteer recruitment for the European Football Championship of 2012.

September, 24 the currently incumbant UEFA Volunteer Envoy in Lviv, player of the Carpaty football club and the National team Artem Fedetsky presided over the primary stage of volunteer recruitment which took place in the conference hall of the hotel Reikartz Dworzec Lviv.

Besides that due to the UEFA Lviv organizing committee the hotel became temporary home for the legendary Henri Delaunay Cup which will mark the strongest football team next year. Each participant of the meeting could see the cup as well as to take picture of one of football’s most desired trophies.

Throughout UEFA Euro 2012, about 6,000 volunteers will assist UEFA's staff in Ukraine and Poland. The volunteers will have a chance to work at stadiums and UEFA headquarters. All during the tournament the volunteers will be supplied with the insurance, regular meals and invitations to the events within the Championship framework.

The Euro 2012 football championship is hosted by Poland and Ukraine starting from June 2012. The tournament will take place in four Ukrainian cities of Kiev, Lviv, Donetsk and Kharkiv and four Polish cities of Warsaw, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Poznan.

The new Reikartz hotel will welcome its first guests December, 1 2011.

Reikartz Hotels & Resorts has launched the long-awaited Reikartz School of Hotel Management.

The first event on schedule took place in Berlin, Germany. The educational tour for hotel managers lasted for 4 days, from August, 18 till August, 22. A team of 32 professionals included general managers, heads of departments as well as top-managers of the company.

The tour organizers aimed at the widest coverage of Germany’s hotel business and its numerous aspects. During the 4 days of learning the Reikartz Hotels & Resorts team had the opportunity to compare all aspects of service at  Reikartz Hotels & Resorts to Berlin’s best hotels and to get handy advice from the European hoteliers.

The educational program was implemented on the basis of several Berlin hotels of different categories, from art-hotels to the luxury “5 stars”. Among them art-hotel Ku’damm 101 (3*), the legendary Savoy (4*), one of Berlin’s best hotels Steigenberger Hotel (5*), congress-hotel Maritim Hotel Berlin (4*+), the dynamically developing chain with Leonardo Royal Hotel Berlin (4*) being part of it and the exquisite Hotel de Rome of the Rocco de Forte (5*) chain. The Reikartz team had the opportunity to examine both the infrastructure available for the guests and the one meant solely for the staff – restaurant kitchens, housekeeping areas, etc.

Within the framework of the seminar the Reikartz Hotels & Resorts team participated in numerous lectures and workshops featuring the renowned German experts of hotel management as well as round tables with the managerial personnel of the best Berlin hotels. The wide range of topics for discussion included F&B cost optimization and  effective budget planning of the hotel.

In particular the whole team enjoyed the workshop “Professional front office management. Standards, procedures, upselling and leadership” led by a coach of one of Europe’s best hospitality schools, as well as workshop on "Effective housekeeping. High quality and cost optimization”. During their stay the Ukrainian team held a most enjoyable meeting with Markus Luthe, Chairman of HOTREC Quality Board. HOTREC is the trade association of hotels, restaurants and cafes in the European Union which sets the hotel star standards.

The first open seminar of Reikartz School of Hotel Management in Ukraine is scheduled for spring 2012.
