Kirovograd (Elisavetgrad, originally) is situated in the center of Ukraine on the river Ingul. The city was established in 1754 as the Fortress of Saint Elizabeth. The center of the city is still partially preserved as in the XIX century. On the high bank of Ingul there are the remains of the fortress. The city is a traditional place for musical events. Don’t hesitate to visit one of them, if you are planning a trip to Kirovograd.
